Chestnut

You can roast these nuts on an open fire, of course. You can dry them and grind them into gluten free flour as well. You can plant them in a food plot to attract deer or in a pasture to feed pigs and cows.

Basically everyone loves a good chestnut.

In addition the wood is rot resistant and beautiful.

These trees are grown from the largest nuts of blight free local chestnut trees. They are most likely Chinese chestnuts and very productive.

Plant at least two trees for heavier yields.

Chestnuts cannot be shipped to CA, WA, OR, FL, MI, LA.

1 year-old seedling bare root plants approx. 10-20" tall

*Ship in spring and fall

Hardiness zone: 4-8

Mature height: 40-60 ft.

Begin bearing in 4-5 years.
