Grape-Sized Kiwis for Cold Climates
Pop a whole kiwi in your mouth like a grape. That's the magic of kiwiberries - all the tropical sweetness of regular kiwifruit, packed into a smooth-skinned berry you can eat by the handful, and cold-hardy enough to survive in zone 4b!
These vigorous vines are prized for their high nutritional value, smooth edible skin, and sweet taste. Unlike their fuzzy cousins, kiwiberries need no peeling - just rinse and eat. The flavor is intensely sweet with hints of tropical fruit, perfect for fresh eating, smoothies, or impressing guests who've never seen them before.
Kiwiberries are dioecious, meaning you'll need both male and female plants for fruit production. Plant one male for every 3-8 females. Provide sturdy trellising - these vines grow vigorously, require frequent pruning, and can live for decades.
