Shellbark Hickory

Dormant bare-root trees approximately 4"-6" tall shipped in Nov/Dec or Apr/May.

Shellbark hickory is shagbark's big brother. 

The tree looks very similar, except it often has seven leaflets instead of five, and all the wood and bark and ornamental uses are the same.

But the nuts! They are huge! They are often an inch across or larger. They are also harder to crack so if you have a black walnut cracker you are good to go!

If you like shagbark but want a larger nut, shellbark is the tree for you!
